The #NotABarbie Career and Empowerment Conference aims to provide guidance and build community among women and trans* professionals who are uninspired by “lean in” thinking. We seek to uplift and validate the characteristics that make women great employees, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

This day-long conference is hosted by Boston GLOW (www.bostonglow.org) and features over 20 speakers in 3 breakout sessions and 3 keynote speakers.

The event will take place in Wheelock College’s Campus Center Student Residence building.

Started From The Bottom // How I'm Here
Limited Capacity seats available

Before me, no one in my low-income Dominican-German immigrant family had ever pursued college or business. How did I become an entrepreneur with a desktop computer and Craigslist gigs, and while in graduate school for public health research and with my life partner as co-founder? And how have I leveraged my analytical training to grow EmVision Productions, a media production company solving creative challenges for emerging and established brands? This workshop will highlight my unpredicted entrepreneurship journey. Driven by science, storytelling, and social justice, my work embodies what I call “intentional creativity for social change.”
