The #NotABarbie Career and Empowerment Conference aims to provide guidance and build community among women and trans* professionals who are uninspired by “lean in” thinking. We seek to uplift and validate the characteristics that make women great employees, entrepreneurs, and leaders. 

This day-long conference is hosted by Boston GLOW (www.bostonglow.org) and features over 20 speakers in 3 breakout sessions and 3 keynote speakers.

The event will take place in Wheelock College’s Campus Center Student Residence building.

senior program manager for Pathways to Prosperity, Leah Moschella provides technical assistance and coaching to support state and regional pathways development and implementation. She is currently working closely with Central Ohio, Madison, Illinois, and the Great Lakes College and Career Pathways Partnership. Prior to joining JFF, Leah served as the manager of college and career pathways at Notre Dame Education Center, where she designed and implemented a workforce readiness curriculum and employer engagement council for English language learners, adult learners, and opportunity youth. Leah is a founding member of the Boston Youth Workforce Collaborative, served as a Shafik Gabr Diplomatic Fellow for innovative leaders in public policy and international dialogue in Egypt and Washington, DC, and is the volunteer executive director of Boston GLOW. She has a B.A. in sociology and gender studies from Fordham University and M.A. degrees in human services and secondary education from Northeastern University.
