The #NotABarbie Career and Empowerment Conference aims to provide guidance and build community among women and trans* professionals who are uninspired by “lean in” thinking. We seek to uplift and validate the characteristics that make women great employees, entrepreneurs, and leaders. 

This day-long conference is hosted by Boston GLOW (www.bostonglow.org) and features over 20 speakers in 3 breakout sessions and 3 keynote speakers.

The event will take place in Wheelock College’s Campus Center Student Residence building.

In 2010, Leah founded Boston GLOW as an avenue to generate positive leadership opportunities for women and girls. In addition to her work at Boston GLOW, Leah develops innovative systems change to education policy to drive college and career access for all as Senior Program Manager at JFF.  A 2015 Gabr Fellow, Leah has developed projects to foster dialogue across cultures and believes in global citizenship.  She holds a Master's from Northeastern and a BA from Fordham University in the Bronx. In her spare time she loves cheap plane tickets, exploring cultures and buying bow-ties for her cats.
