The #NotABarbie Career and Empowerment Conference aims to provide guidance and build community among women and trans* professionals who are uninspired by “lean in” thinking. We seek to uplift and validate the characteristics that make women great employees, entrepreneurs, and leaders. 

This day-long conference is hosted by Boston GLOW (www.bostonglow.org) and features over 20 speakers in 3 breakout sessions and 3 keynote speakers.

The event will take place in Wheelock College’s Campus Center Student Residence building.

Program Manager
Haley is a student of Political Science and International Affairs at Northeastern University, where she is entering her final year. She began her work in politics at 16 as an intern for US Sen. Patty Murray's reelection efforts in her home state of Washington. While at Northeastern she has worked continuously as an intern with MassINC, a nonprofit and nonpartisan think tank focusing on state-level legislation, as well as for several local campaign efforts. She now serves as the Program Manager for Emerge Massachusetts, and is responsible for facilitating training programs for Emerge MA's newest recruits. She is actively searching out the best and brightest women to build the bench in Massachusetts.
