The #NotABarbie Career and Empowerment Conference aims to provide guidance and build community among women and trans* professionals who are uninspired by “lean in” thinking. We seek to uplift and validate the characteristics that make women great employees, entrepreneurs, and leaders. 

This day-long conference is hosted by Boston GLOW (www.bostonglow.org) and features over 20 speakers in 3 breakout sessions and 3 keynote speakers.

Art is an important means of communication, it is a voice for resourceful, creative personalities. The people that make magic out of nothing. It is a means of expression. It can also be deceiving, with lots of smoke and mirrors.  This workshop will explore the media we consume, the media we are a part of, and the powerof diverse women in creative careers sharing their voices and stories.

Lunara Isabel Devers was born in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico on December 19th 1984. She graduated high school at the Boston Arts Academy and received a scholarship to study at Long Island University.
